IBO 2023 Spring Planting RSVP
VIP students from CWI & BSU are working this spring with Intermountain Bird Observatory (IBO) and will be coordinating with directors Greg Kaltenecker & Heidi Wise-Carlisle to put on a spring restoration event that will occur on Saturday and Sunday APRIL 15-16 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm each day at the Diane Moore Nature Center.  On this weekend we hope to accomplish the following tasks:

-Social trail decommission
-brush clearing and moving
-Native plantings
-Fencing of new plantings

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
~Some of the work we will be doing is more labor intensive and is best suited for volunteers ages 10 and up. All minors should be accompanied by an adult.

~The trail decommissioning and brush clearing will require some heavy lifting and moving on uneven terrain and is more suited for volunteers ages 14 and up.  Physical ability and spatial awareness will be essential to safely complete these tasks.

~Sunday is the planned planting day and will not be as labor intensive, perfect for younger volunteers.

UPON ARRIVAL
Once you arrive on site please check-in and sign the volunteer waiver. One of the students will help you check in and direct you to get started.

The site is located under the highway 21 bridge. As you head toward Lucky Peak Reservoir, you will turn right about 100 yards after you cross the bridge. It's easy to miss the turn, so if you do, don't stress! Find a safe place to turn around and try again. The entrance to the parking area is directly across from Warm Springs Ave.
